Mughal empire was a great era which has given India a very rich and noble history to be marked with golden words. By the end of 19 the century, mughals saw their decline.

There were plenty of reasons for the decline of Mughal empire. The reasons are discussed below:

Aurangzeb was the last powerful ruler who still could expand the empire. But he was a conservative ruler who was intolerant towards other religions except Islam and barred people from any kind of dancing and singing in the province.

He broke many temples and imposed taxes on non Muslims.

This was causing lot of trouble for people so socially he was being unpopular.

Weak successors also caused decline of the empire.

The nobles who were loyal to the emperors also started to look for their profit and gain

And ultimately when Britishers came, they handed over the charge of the country to British east India company.

Meagre financial status added to the woes.

This empire was a winning empire and has given glorious history to us. Therefore, the Mughals are rated as one to be stellar.
