Answer: Here the following are confirmatory tests to know whether which gas is produced .

For hydrogen

To know whether hydrogen gas is evolved or not the following activity should be followed bring a burning match near the gas produced and if it burns with a pop up sound in the gas evolved is hydrogen.

For oxygen,

to test whether the gas evolved is Oxygen or not we should bring a burning is candle near the gas evolved and if it glows more then the possibility is that the gas evolved is Oxygen.

For carbon dioxide

There are 2 test to detect whether the following gas evolved is carbon dioxide or not.

1. Bring a burning candle near the gas and if the candle get extinguished then the gas evolved is carbon dioxide.

2. The second method is that the evolved gas should be passed through lime water and if it turns milky then the gas evolved is carbon dioxide.
