Guest (me): Where can I find the manager of the hotel?

Manager: Well, I am the manager here. What can I do for you?

Guest (me): I have been having a hard time ever since I checked in yesterday.I am staying in room number 235.

Manager:Please tell me the issue in detail.

Guest (me): Well, yesterday right at the time of checking in, we reached the room, but had to wait for 30 minutes for the luggage to arrive.

Manager:I will check with the staff at the reception.

Guest (me): I called them a couple of times and each time they said that the bellboy had already left with the bags. It was extremely frustrating.

Manager: I am really sorry about that. It usually does not happen here.

Guest (me): Next, we ordered tea and some snacks at about 5 in the evening. The tea arrived cold while the snacks weren’t even the ones that we had ordered. They were also extremely oily. I had to send it all back and place an order all over again.

Manager: Yes, ma’am. I am aware of the chaos that happened last evening. A member of our staff fell down the stairs and had to be rushed to the hospital. In fact he was the same bellboy who was to take your baggage to your room. The person who usually takes the orders for room service is the boy’s father. So he had to rush as well. The others are not as well trained as him and so they goofed up your order. I apologise for the bad experience.

Guest (me):I am sorry...I did not know this was the case. I assumed that the services are poor because of lack of professionalism.

Manager: It is not your fault, ma’am.

Guest (me): How is the bellboy now?

Manager: Luckily he escaped with minor injuries. The bleeding has stopped and he is out of danger. Thank you ma’am for your concern, though you were inconvenienced. If you need anything during your stay, please let me know.

Guest (me): I will, thank you.
