I COMPLETELY agree with the view, “Let kids of different races mingle” that parents should allow their children to mingle with their peers of different races or religions. That is why our Government introduced the “One Malaysia” concept.

Parents should encourage their children to choose friends of other races or religions. By doing so, they allow their children to adapt themselves to the multiracial society in our country, leading to a harmonious environment.

In recent times, our education system has been emphasising student-centred classroom lessons which incorporate various forms of group discussions and tasks. The children need to converse with each other to complete the tasks. This is the part most parents tend to overlook. Good teachers and classroom facilities alone will not help children to improve their academic performance. There has to be a harmonious classroom environment which can only be attained if the students are comfortable with one other.

Thus, dear parents, confining your child’s friends to just people of their own race or religion is unhealthy. Teach them to create a harmonious nation by encouraging them to make friends with peers of all races and religions.

I totally agree with the view that children should be given the freedom to choose their own friends.Parents are too much concerned about their children's friends. In this way, they will be always dependant on parents. They won't be too much social or can't able to take proper decisions. Also, choosing your own friends guves you understanding of people. You get to know more about everyone's motive, perspective, different thinking and much more. And also you get an experience about types of people which can be used up in future.Making your own friends will have its small contribution in improving your social skills rather than being anti-social.Even sometimes childrens can't identify the person and makes friends with him/her,then also it's okay! Because children will be learning from their mistakes only. They should learn from trial and error to choose good friends. Also each and every person has their own privacy. So, probing about the friends is like invading the privacy of the children. And parents should have the trust on their children. As a parent, they should understand the children's feelings and give them freedom to get mingled with different types of friends.
