Dear (Name of the employer) / To whom it may concern,

I wish to apply for the post of basic grade physiotherapist in the City Hospital. I have enclosed a copy of my CV. I am a 2012 graduate from University College Dublin where I achieved a 2.1 honors degree with clinical distinction. During my physiotherapy degree, I was fortunate to gain respiratory experience in the City Hospital when I worked in the High Dependency Unit, neurosurgical ICU along with my involvement in the weekly pulmonary rehabilitation program. During my physiotherapy degree I also had the opportunity to manage a similar patient population to that at the City Hospital in my time in Cork University Hospital (OPD, fracture clinics, and Neurorehabilitation), and Waterford Regional Hospital (OPD, COE and occupational Health).

My postgraduate experience includes locum cover in the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital where I was responsible for the on-call physiotherapy service during my time there. I gained experience in private practice and instructed a weekly pilates course. I recently completed a 3-month contract in Google Ireland working as a physiotherapist in an ergonomic role. I currently work with the local GAA club during the week.

I am a full practicing member of the ISCP and have insurance with O’Driscoll O’Neill.

I thoroughly enjoy working in a hospital setting and am keen to gain further postgraduate experience in this area. I would appreciate your consideration of my application and I am available for an interview at your convenience.

Yours Sincerely,
