Hamlet shares a great bond with his father; the king.
So when he learns that Claudius had treacherously gotten Hamlet’s Father Killed and ascended the throne after marrying his mother, he is filled with vengeance and rage is determined to get his revenge on Claudius his uncle.
Hamlet undergoes an emotional journey where he first experiences grief which turns into vengeance.
But these emotions are so strong that they eventually lead to his mental demise.
