Answer: There is a famous story about the race between the fast rabbit and the slow turtle. When both started the race, then the rabbit was leading. He saw that turtle is long behind him so he decided to take a nap.

When he woke up, he saw the turtle was only one step behind from winning. The rabbit tried to run as fast as possible but he lost. The moral of the story is that one should not be lazy. Or one should not rest unless he finishes his work. Success is for the hard worker only.

Explanation:

For the Motion: Laziness and not bad luck is the only obstacle to one’s success in life.

I’d like to speak for the motion. Laziness and not bad luck is the only obstacle to one’s success in life. There is no such thing as bad luck. I would rather say laziness creates bad luck.

Laziness is the deterrent to one’s success in life. Once laziness sets in, we tend to procrastinate. Procrastination makes us delay getting things done. We don’t brace ourselves for hard work and then this becomes a vicious circle.

Instead of sitting lazily, we should start working hard. There is absolutely no substitute for hard work. Bad luck runs away on seeing hard work.
