The narrator was reluctant to carry his own luggage as he had the feelings that the village people laugh at him make fun of him bcz he is educated. He also thought that the education made him to avoid to o physical labour or picking his luggage.In fact the narrator looks for some one helps. he was feeling guilty and pride might have has stop for carry bus own luggage.
