The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) today celebrated its foundation day.

Various cultural events were organised at KVs in Akhnoor, Sunjawan and Nagrota to celebrate the day.

The events started with the song ‘Kendriya Vidyalaya Swarnim Gaurav’ followed by cultural activities. Children actively presented poems, songs and dances on the occasion. On the occasion, Yogita Sharma, PGT (English) and Ashok Kumar, TGT (mathematics) at KV, Akhnoor, spoke about the history and importance of the day.

Principal Didar Singh congratulated all the participants. He said there were more than 1,100 KVs running vibrantly in India and abroad.

At KV Sunjuwan, a quiz, debate, skit and a group song competitions were organised.

Similarly KV, Nagrota, organised a cultural programme in which students took part with enthusiasm. An oath ceremony on the duties of KV enriched on human values was taken up by Bimla Pandit, vice-principal. A message was read by Anuj Kumar, principal, KV, Nagrota.
