I can't believe that I have finished the project that seemed unachievable from the day one we were assigned that. We had to work on the project on waste management in our society, and it involved humongous efforts on students' part. I had to make a questionnaire; conduct a survey in the society; talk to the sweepers about the disposal of the waste they carried each day. After it, I had to analyze the survey and write a report to the Secretary, RWA. All this was too much and I could never imagine I would be able to complete it. It's rightly said, 'slow and steady wins the race' and with the help of my dad and secretary uncle the whole process was accomplished within a three weeks' time. I will certainly mention their names in the acknowledgment of my project. The way our society sweepers helped me was also incredible. They also deserve a mention and I must do that. Now I can focus on my guitar lessons. Hope to sing to you a nice song with guitar my dear diary. Till then ...

Dear Diary:
I am writing on your pages my happiness that I have felt after doing the impossible. I thought I could never ever learn swimming. I was scared of deep water. I always avoided descending into the swimming pool or a shallow brook or a canal. However, in the summer vacation I decided to learn swimming. I was so lucky to have got such a wonderful and skillful coach. I told him all my fears. He very patiently taught me the basics. He taught me paddling, floating, breathing in water, etc; then he would swim with me towards the deeper end of the pool. I also practiced very hard. As a result today I swam the length of the pool all alone, without anyone’s assistance. I am so happy. I have learnt nothing is impossible if we give it a sincere try.
