Dear Aparna,
I hope you are fine now and your fever has come down. Yesterday for the Annual Day celebrations of our school we really missed you a lot.
The chief guest for the function was Rahul's mother who is the Superintendent of Police. We were all so proud of her and Rahul looked very happy too that his mother was on the dais. Our class got first place in the skit and also the group dance. Since you had to drop out in the last minute because of your fever, we had taken Harita in your place. She was a good substitute and learnt the dance quickly.
Sports prizes also were given out yesterday and our class didn't win the overall trophy this year. Doesn't matter. We will take it as a challenge and work hard next year. The Headmistress looked very happy with all the performances and gave us a holiday today so we can all rest after the long day of performances.

I hope this mial finds you in fine fettle. I also hope you must have acclimatized to the new environment. I am writing to you to tell you about our annual day function. As you already know the function was to be held on January 15, 2019, it happened as per the schedule. I participated in an English play which received exuberant applause.
The auditorium was packed to capacity. Mr. Rajnath Singh, the Home Minister was the chief-guest. There was no performance that was not liked. The chief guest applauded the school management for such a grand and perfect programme. I will send you the pictures, the moment I get them. The rest is fine. I am missing you a lot. Give regards to uncle and aunt. Do reply soon!
