I remember that day quite vividly. I was driving home after visiting my friend who lives in the suburbs of the city. It was evening time. The sun had just set. Suddenly, a gale began to buffet my car. I had to slow down it. Soon the sky was overcast with black clouds that were floating so awfully lower, just a few meters above my car. And soon the thundering and lightning scared my wits out of me. It began to rain very heavily.
It kept pouring down from the sky incessantly. The roads were turned into veritable streams of water. The movement of the vehicles on the road became hard. Some cars got stuck and stalled. I had to stop. I drove through different roads to reach my home. I saw children playing in the rain water. They were least bothered about getting wet. Finally I reached home and as I got down my car, I had to wade through water to get inside. Though the rains had flooded the city, yet everyone was happy as it relieved them of the intense heat of the summer.
