                                                          Just a Kid


She is a kid, 
She is a child;
If her demands not met
She prefers to go wild. 

When it is time to go to school, 
She has excuses and great pain, 
But more than healthy, ready to go
When it is time to play some game. 

Every 'NO' is a challenge for her. 
She would, sure, be there, 
You asked her not to be 'where'. 
Would try hard  to do one, 
You ask her never to be done. 
Stools over stools to reach the can, 
You rest assured, she never can. 

She is always sleepy, 
When homework-bound;
But is always awake, 
When her gang is around.
 
If you can count
it is my bet, 
What she shatters 
How much she breaks.
 
She dodges her father, 
Sneaks from mother;
You ask her to do this, 
She would do the other. 

Running here and there, 
Pausing nowhere, 
Playing in rains, 
Getting into drains, 
Dust all over, 
Sweat all over, 
But she stops never.

She is also a very creative mind! 
Trying her skill with every find;
Drawn so many shapes on wall, 
Using pencils and her crayons all. 
Making planes, tearing pages, 
From the book cutting images. 

You make things as much tidy, 
She would make as much messy. 
She wants to tweak everything,
She is my kid, she is so sassy.
 
She has two great weapons! 
To go scot-free for her actions.
To go unpunished, 
She uses fake tears. 
To win our hearts, 
Innocent smile she bears. 

Whenever... 
I want to scold her, 
I hug and hold her. 
Whenever... 
I wish to punish her, 
I always surrender;
Because... 
She is my life 
Forever and forever;
She is my kid, 
I am her Mother.
