From 24 march, a great change started to come in everyone’s life including mine. Lockdown 1.0 started and all the schools, offices, businesses, shops and all other things, which did not come in the basic daily needs, were shut. Many people who were the daily wage workers and lived hand to mouth suffered the most as their labour work was totally closed; many people became unemployed. The doctors, police-officers, grocery shop owners had to risk their lives and go for their work. The work of the housewives increased immensely as the house helps were not coming and they had to clean the house themselves. The working women have had their work tripled because they also had to work from home besides doing the housework. The online classes of the school students began and I was also attending them regularly. I am now used to the routine of getting up early, bathing and attending the classes in the morning. The teachers teach in a very new and interesting way and learning has become fully digital. The pollution has now reduced as people are not stepping out and the pollution by vehicles, factories, machines is now lessening. The songs of the birds are now clearly audible in the morning and the honking of vehicles has stopped. The nature has been affected quite positively during this period. This phase has taught us how to control ourselves and live a life without too much luxuries. The most important is that this has made all of us, even the less knowledgeable ones more aware about our surroundings and more hygienic.
