Sir,
I like to draw your attention to reckless driving of vehicles at high speed along with busy public roads by the drivers of private buses, taxis and even auto drivers. It is a great nuisance. It is a great danger to the passers by, especially to the children, old men and women who find it difficult to cross roads.
Yesterday evening an old man was run down by a private bus at the crossing of Shyam Bazar due to reckless driving. Such accidents have become almost occurrences of every day. The traffic police seem to take almost no care of it.
I draw the attention of Hon'ble Transport Minister to the Government of West Bengal to take necessary action to put this to an end.
Yours faithfully,
Trisha Roy
