To The editor The Telegraph,
Sub : Smoking is prohibited in office premises and public places,
Sir,
I beg to state a few lines about the growth of smoking in bus, trains, public places, and hospitals phenomenally. I feel that we should take some immediate step to stop smoking in public places because it is the most unhealthy practice and reasons for deadly lung diseases for both the smoked as well as passive smokers. With the increase of smoking by young Men and Women, lung diseases like lung cancer, LOPD, and other deadly diseases is growing by leaps and bounds. Waste cigarette buts are thrown here end there is the cause of serious fire hazard. This also pollutes the roads and walkways. The no smoking Boards and penalty are there but smokers are careless as no steps are taken by the administration.I, therefore request you to highlight this issue so that the Administration and Govt. take necessary steps.
thanking you,
yours faithfully,
