Very few buses ply in our locality during the morning peak period. Even those buses which ply down the road are over crowded and we children cannot even get even a toehold to board the buses.
I am compelled to write to you on behalf of all school going children residing at Basweshwaranagara, Illstage, Bengaluru, we have been facing difficulties in reaching school and home in time, during the mornings and afternoons. Very few buses ply in our locality during the morning peak period. Even those buses which ply down the road are over crowded and we children cannot even get even a toehold to board the buses.We have to invariably walk all the way to our schools carrying heavy school and lunch bags. By the time we reach school we will be extremely tired and unable to concentrate on the lessons being taught at school. This has drastically affected our academic performance. While returning from school late in the afternoon after 3.30 pm, there are no buses in sight at all.
We are forced to walk all the way back home and due to this unwanted strain on our energy we are not able to concentrate on our studies even at home. Some of us have nightmares thinking of walking to school and back home. Walking to school and back has not only taken a toll on our studies but also on our health.
I earnestly request you to take drastic remedial measures to provide adequate number of buses during the mornings and afternoons, especially for school going children. I hope you will act on our plea as .soon as possible and help as out of our predicament.
