Subject: Underutilization of tourism potential in India
Sir:
I am writing this letter to your esteemed self to express my deep concern over the problem of underutilization of tourism potential all across India. India is a richly endowed country. Her beautiful and varied natural resources, climate, weather, topographical features along with kaleidoscopic cultural heritage attract many tourists from all across the world.
However, the tourism potential remains underutilized. There are many unexplored and untapped places of touristic attraction in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, North-East states, Gujrat, M.P., Uttrakhand, Goa, Kerala, Karnatka, Tamil Nadu, etc.
The Government must create tourism conducive infra-structure there to promote tourism there. India can earn a whopping amount of foreign exchange from these untapped places. Through the columns of your reputed daily, I appeal to the tourism ministry to look into it and do the needful.
