Subject: Lack of Sports Facilities

Sir:

I write to your esteemed self to bring to your kind notice the lack of sports facilities in our city. Owing to the alarmingly increasing population and the consequent urbanization and industrialization, there is hardly any playing ground left. The standard of sports grounds is very low; the few sports grounds created by the government are already packed to full capacity with the infrastructure demanding immediate repairs.

The private schools and colleges that provide sports facilities charge exorbitant fees, depriving the middle class and other poor children of the basic as well as advanced sports facilities. Only the state or central government can build advanced sports complexes for the children. No private organization would like to spend such huge amount of money.

The effect of lack of sports facilities in our country is glaringly visible at Olympics where our sportsmen fail to clinch even a single gold medal. I appeal to you to provide basic as well as advanced sports facilities to our children and youth. These facilities will play a pivotal role in creating healthy and strong citizens of India that will further play crucial role in the development of our nation.  I am hopeful your good self will look into the matter and do best in this regard.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Gibran Josh
