Dated 20th November 3019

To

The Editor in Chief,

The Daily Herald,

XYZ Town

Subject: Complain of frequent power cut.

Respected Sir,

I beg to inform you that for the last three weeks our locality is facing frequent load shedding. Due to this the people of this locality are facing much hardship. Both parents and their children are also very concerned with the frequent power cut as the annual final exams will commence soon. I would also like to mention that the common people and the poor people suffer the most because it is out of their capacity to buy generators.

I therefore request the power department and the authorities to take up the matter with utmost urgency and to kindly restore uninterrupted supply of power to this locality at the earliest.

I will remain ever thankful to you for your sympathetic and immediate action.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

MEENAKSHI

Church Road Colony

XYZ Town

Explanation:

This is a polite letter. In real life, if the application to restore power in time is ignored people can go for protests or file a case in court.
