Sir,

I am to draw the kind notice of Hon'ble Health Minister of government of West Bengal through your widely esteemed daily.

A casual visit to our district hospital shows the deplorable condition of our hospital. Many patients daily visit the hospital and leave it unattended by Doctors as many of the posts are vacant. The poor patients seldom get medicines due to want of timely supply. The nurses are not careful to the patients. They are busy in gossiping and chatting. Public urinals are veritable hell, perhaps these are never cleansed. The stair cases and floor of the rooms are full of dust, the corners of the walls are full of cobwebs. Water supply is scared. The group D employees never behave well with the patients and their attendants. Sometimes they behave in such a superior manner as if they are doctors. Many complaints have been lodged to the hospital superintendent but he is an indolent mood. The hospital which means a home for healing has been transformed into a home for killing.
