Subject: Dangers of firework industry
Sir:
The blast in fireworks manufacturing unit claimed the life of more than 70 people working in it and damaging many nearby buildings. Demand for fireworks near Diwali festival increases manifold. And many fireworks manufacturing units start producing firecrackers. Some of these units don’t have the required license.
Every year accidents at illegal fireworks manufacturing units take a heavy toll of human life and property. The government should take strict actions against illegal fireworks manufacturers. Fireworks cause lots of pollution. Only limited amount of fireworks should be allowed to be manufactured.
Through the medium of your esteemed daily I appeal to government authorities to look into the problem and do the needful.
