Sir/Madam,

Through the esteemed columns of your newspaper, I wish to bring to the fore the importance of trees in our life. Climate change and global warming are the realities of the twenty-first century. Pollution levels in metro cities have touched an all-time high.

All these factors take a toll on public health and give rise to various diseases. A simple solution to combat this problem is planting trees. Trees are the lifeline of our planet. Trees produce oxygen which helps purify the air. Trees also provide cool shade from the harsh sun rays. Many trees have medicinal properties.

Sir in our locality there were very less trees due to the construction near our locality. We need trees because it gives oxygen to us.

We have global warming in our locality.

The reason for this is cutting of trees and ignorance towards growing of trees. Only a few number of trees have left in my locality. People are continuously cutting the trees only for their greed. A large area was cleared. It is our own duty to protect our environment.
