Sir,
Polythene and poly packs have become almost sine-qua-non to our regular routine. Through we all are well aware of its usages, we pretend to be less conscious of the havoc that it creates to our ecological balance . Polythene and polymers are non biodegradable objects and so these are non- decomposing materials . Besides this plastic bag and other materials made of polythene and polymers have adverse effects on human health . These hamper the natural way of flowing water in soil . Naturally the power of fertilization decreases day by day.
I would therefore like to made a strong appeal to the people through your columns against the excessive use of Polythene and poly bags . Only stern government action is not enough . All the people should come alive and they must be brought to sense about the harmful effects of plastic materials . Use of things and bags made of paper or jute must be encouraged instead of plastic .
