Sub: Lack of playground in our area

Dear Sir:

I write to your good self to seek your help to bring to the notice of the concerned authorities lack of a playground and other sports facilities in our area, Green Avenue. Playgrounds are indispensable necessities in the current times. Ever increasing pollution, contracting open space due to urbanization and industrialization, increasing traffic on roads, etc. all have contributed to the deterioration of environment and human health. And absence of open spaces in the modern colonies, townships, and residential areas has further aggravated the problem.

The worst lots that have been affected are: the young children, and the old people, besides all age group people. How unfortunate are the growing children! They don’t have any space left to play and have fun our side! The absence of open spaces, grounds, creativity enhancing centers, etc. has deprived them of the joys of playing outdoor games, which has affected their physical growth and development adversely.

Through the medium of your newspaper I appeal to the concerned authorities to look into this problem and provide playground and other sports facilities in our area. I hope you will give enough space to my views in your esteemed daily. Thanking you.

As you are aware, the city is becoming overcrowded and more and more buildings are

Coming up. All the open spaces are being covered up with some structure or the

Other. As a consequence there is very little open space left for children to

Play.

            Fresh air and games are very important for the healthy growth of

Children. Exercise is important for physical and mental development. There is a

Lack of playgrounds so the children play on the streets and on the sides of

Roads. This is very risky. Some of them play in unclean areas. This can cause

Health problems.  

             

I humbly request you to create an awareness among people about the need for

Playgrounds for the children. I shall be very grateful if you could do the

Needful for the provision of adequate number of playgrounds in all the areas.
