Subject - effects of technology on conventional outdoor games.
Sir/madam
Through the esteemed/famous columns of your newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the public on the effects of technology on conventional outdoor games, physical activities or excercises are important for all of us, especially for children. Games build up stamina improves our fitness and increases the concentration level.
Today technology in the form of mobile phones, video games, internet and play station is systematically replacing conventional outdoor games. There are so many new gadgets and gizmos available in the market which are attracting the children day by day. Smart phones,t.v.,video games, play station and internet are easily available to children especially in cities. Gradually they get edicted to a lifestyle, where they can play exciting games sitting at their respective homes, with friends even miles away.
Why play outside when you can entertain yourself sitting in a A.C. room? Moreover, with so much variety to offer, be it games, watching movies or surfing the net, can their be a dull movement? Not only that, it is also fun using the social media for connecting with friends, thereby leaving little or no time for outdoor games. However all set and done the physical fitness for our children is being compromised, due to a sadentary lifestyle.
My concern is, can we do something about it?
Hope my letter finds sufficient space in your newspaper.
Thanking you
Your Truly
