As we know, pollution is one of the common problems that we face today in this modern world. However, pollution nowadays proving to be harmful and in some cases, even fatal.
It has sparked many initiatives world-wide but not many have made a successful impact. Pollution is of many types but has few management methods. Water Pollution, Air Pollution, Land Pollution,Soil Pollution are just to name a few.
All of us know that newspaper has had a tremendous impact on common masses since its birth: about 400 years!
I would request you to write an article about health hazards due to pollution.
Here are a few suggestions which you may consider:
- Use water wisely. Use potable water only for human and animal consumption. Contaminated water leafs to water-borne diseases like typhoid and cholera.
- Spread awareness about the importance of segregation of wastes as wet wastes can be used for composting, Papers, tins etc. can be recycled. Burning them releases to poisonous gases in the air which is harmful if inhaled.
- Urge the government to set up e-bins for electronic wastes which help in recycling metals. This too leads too release of poisonous gases in the air.
