Subject :- Expressing the concern about the increase in number of Polluted rivers.

Respected Sir/Madam,

Through the column - 'Commoner's Voice' of your Newspaper, with due respect I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities which is The Ministry of Water Resources about the increase in the number of polluted rivers.

While I was on my tour which visited each and every famous river of India, I was shocked as well as angry to see the bad condition of the rivers. They once had fishes flowing through them but now it's just plastic and plastic bags flowing.

I really had tears in my eyes when I saw the condition of the Ganga which is refered as "Holy Ganga". But we humans even polluted the holy river. When it comes to pollution, Ganga can never be called as "Holy".

The Yamuna river which enhances the beauty of Taj Mahal is now so much polluted that it stands in the list of World's top 10 most pollutes rivers.

It's no one else but we Indians who are ruining the beauty of our country. If a tourist litters on the tourist attraction spot we should immediately request them to avoid it.

The rivers are the ones who provide us water which is very essential for us and never ask anything in return, but we humans just tend to destroy them.

I request the authorities to please immediately take strict and necessary action to save the rivers from getting more polluted.

Sincerely,

(Your name)
