Subject:- Need to Clean the Allen Park Lake
Sir/Madam,
I am a regular reader of the columns of your esteemed daily, and I would like to draw your attention towards the pathetic condition of the once-famous Allen Park, and the desperate need to conduct a cleanliness drive for the Allen Park Lake.
Allen Park has been a haven for tourists, local people, photography enthusiasts, nature lovers, and bird watchers alike. This park, dating back to the British Raj, has been the natural abode to various rare species of flora, as well as the home to a few migratory birds. However, the deplorable state of the park since the past couple of months have compelled the visitors to stop going there. Early morning walkers and joggers have ceased to go to Allen Park because of incessant landfill and garbage. Most importantly, the Allen Park Lake houses larvae, and dead fish. People are unable to stay there for less than five minutes. Another shocking fact is the municipality's recklessness and ignorance towards the pathetic conditions of the park.
I request you to publish this letter in your newspaper so that this reaches to the concerned authority.
