Subject: The Problem of Water Shortage and Some Solutions
Sir:
I write to your esteemed self to draw people and authorities’ attention towards the ever worsening problem of water shortage in the city. Owing to so many factors water scarcity problem has become quite serious. The water supply timing during the summer is reduced due to which people face lots of problems and inconvenience.
There is need of changing our attitude towards water conservation. People should not waste water at all. They should use it sagaciously and like a rare commodity. Apart from this the Government should also address the problem at the base level. Proper afforestation around the city, especially along the rivers and canals should be done.
The Government should also make strict laws to conserve water and environment. People should be involved in water preservation and conservation campaigns. Without people’s participation water scarcity problem can’t be solved. I appeal to you to publish my views in your reputed daily. I also appeal to people and concerned authorities to look into the matter and shoulder their responsibilities in solving the problem. Thanking you.

Sub.: Water scarcity and awareness to be created on Saving Water.
I’m Reddy, writing on behalf of those who share similar thoughts. We have been observing directly or indirectly people suffering due to scarcity of water. This has happened because of our indifferent attitude towards those who brutally manhandled the nature for their selfishness.
The time has come to shake those sleeping people by way of informing them the statistics of the number of lands spoiled for the real purpose and the number of trees felled. This effort has already been taken by some of the Film Directors through their films. But, it will be more effective if gets published in your newspaper. We can start digging new places for lakes. Also, we can clean those places which were lakes before and now have become the place for people to excrete.
