Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I want to express my great concern about the increment of pollution.

Environmental pollution has reached its peak level in our country. In particular, our cities are no longer livable.

Air pollution is being caused by ruthless cutting down of trees, chimneys of factories, emissions from motor vehicles, burning of coal, wood and other fossil fuel, etc.

Soil and water pollution is being caused by factory effluents, excessive use of pesticides and insecticides, etc. Noise pollution is being caused by loudspeakers, high volumes of radio and TV sets, horns and buzzers, loud voices in markets, etc.

Pollution of all these kinds is dangerous for mankind. Effective steps should be taken to check it in every possible way. Thank you.

Yours Sincerely,
ABC

Subject - Expressing views on increasing pollution

Sir/Ma'am,

With due grief, I am here writing to you in order to express my views on the increasing pollution in Delhi.

Delhi, the capital of India is sick of pollution. It's a shame that it has become one of the most polluted city in the world. Air pollution is that high that breathing has become more like inhaling oxides instead of oxygen. People can not even think of going outside without air masks. Kids are having pulmonary diseases. Not only this, Yamuna is being polluted too. To add to the woes, there is no strict action being taken by government for planting trees. We know that trees are natural purifier. Not only government, public too has to step forward to save themselves from future disaster. There are some points I would like to suggest

  • Afforestation at basic levels
  • Promoting car pooling and public transports
  • Minimising the use of pollution causing vehicles
  • Using carbon catalysts in car to reduce the emission of harmful gases
  • Factories should have filter to reduce the emission of oxides too

Since we all are inhabitants of earth, it's our own responsibility to save earth. Hence, it would be highly appreciated if you publish my views on pollution through the column of your esteemed daily in order to awaken the system and public towards environmental consequences.

Thanking You

Mayank
