Subject: Help for the lockdown victims
Dear Sir
I wish to draw the attention of the government to the plight of the poor, brought about by the countrywide lockdown. The lockdown has affected them tremendously and has rendered them helpless.
To begin with, with restrictions in place, the daily wagers are unable to earn their daily bread. They do not have any funds in reserve, to buy household ration. Arrangements need to be made to make food available to them, to save them from starvation.
Additionally, many victims of police strictness suffer because of lack of awareness. They do not have access to information about movement restrictions and timings. The local administration and volunteers need to give them timely information to smoothen things out.
I urge the government to consider these suggestions for a successful implementation of the campaign against Covid-19.
