write a letter to the editor to the newspaper for the continuous power cut in your locality
Answers
Sir,
Every summer the residents of ____________ (Place) have to bear the brunt of power-cuts, which ranges from two to six hours a day and can worsen to eight hours at times. It is a matter of regret that in spite of several meetings and measures by the ____________ (Name of Electricity Board), the condition remains pathetic, causing a lot of heartburns to the residents of that locality. As a matter of fact, the ____________ (Place) Government should ban the use of A/Cs in residential areas during peak hours.
At the same time, a constant vigil should be maintained regarding the power-thefts which are in a quite large number. Unauthorised connections should be cut to give relief to the regular paymasters of electricity. The use of jumpers to get electricity should be made a criminal offence, liable for imprisonment. To conclude, ____________ (Name of Electricity Board) has no right to harass the regular payers of electricity bills and should replace the defective transformers from time to time.
Yours Truly,

Subject: Frequent load shedding in Kailash Colony.
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed national newspaper, I would like to express my concern on the crisis of frequent load shedding in Kailash Colony.
In spite of lodging several complaints with the power department, nothing has been done and the locality of Kailash Colony continue to face frequent load shedding for the last three weeks. Due to this the people of this locality are facing much hardship. The unprofessional and callous attitude of the power department is clearly seen since it has given no reason for the cause of the load shedding.
Both parents and their children are upset with the frequent power cut as the annual final exams has already commenced.
It must also be noted that it is the common people, the low income and poor groups of people who suffer the most during load shedding because they cannot afford to buy solar panels or generators.
I therefore request the power department and the authorities to look into the matter immediately and restore uninterrupted supply of power to this locality at the earliest.
Yours sincerely,
Neelima
