Subject: The young village boy and the injured elephant.
Respected Sir,
I am a regular reader of your esteemed daily newspaper. But I have never written to you. I am writing today because of your news report about a young tribal man helping an injured elephant. I was impressed and touched by the action of the young man. Getting close to an injured wild elephant is dangerous. This young man showed both bravery and a heart of gold.
It is so rare nowadays to hear about acts of kindness towards either a man or a wild animal. This young man fed the wild elephant and did whatever he could for the injury until it was strong enough to go back into thick forest if Kajiranga.
I am hoping that the Chief Minister and the Governor would read the news report and award him for act of bravery.
Kajiranga is a well known reserved forest and national park. The young man lives near this forest. He is unemployed and belongs to a very poor family. It would be a great asset for the forest department to employ him in the Kajiranga national park.
I salute this young man. I wish him a better future.
