want to invite your kind attention to growing menace of thefts in our locality. You will be surprised to know that as many as 20 thefts occured in ‘B’ block alone during the past one month. About 15 of them were reported to the sub- inspector incharge of the police post while others were not reported partly because they were minor in nature and partly because the people seem to have lost faith in the efficiency of the police administration. It is another jarring note that the police official harasses those who went to report the matter to them.

It has been observed that the police partrolling during the night has been stopped. People of suspicious character are allowed to gamble in the park of the colony. It is suggested that police partrolling be revived during the day and night. Undesirable elements should be checked. Thanking You,
