i .have great pleasure in expressing my thoughts as the Principal of Sardar Patel Institute of Technology. Our institute holds the manifold distinction of being amongst the best when one considers the present status of technical education today. We pride ourselves on being a constituent of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, a charitable trust of national eminence offering services in the field of education with Indian cultural ethos for almost seven decades.  The effort to impart value based education to all is topmost in the minds of our mentors, namely Dr. M. L. Shrikant, Chairman of Institute’s Governing Council and Prof. S.G. Chitale, Director of Bhavan’s Colleges, Andheri Campus.

Engineers & technologists form the backbone of any nation’s economic development and with globalization, the competition in all walks of life has just become steeper. In this context, an institute like ours which is at the top in propagating an excellent environment, caring for human sensitivity and at the same time striving to maintain the quality of education to match the demands of the time, is really rare one.  This is reflected in our last two academic year results of First Year Engineering which have been rated as the highest in Mumbai University.  I can say with confidence that Sardar Patel Institute of Technology is a role model for others and students getting an opportunity to be associated with us have every reason to expect the best.
