New Delhi.
Sir,
I was one of the unfortunate passenger who traveled by II class AC on the Rajdhani Express (Train No. 2998 / KLJ)from New Delhi to Pathankot on 16th November - 2009. Lunch was served to us on order at Ambala Cantt Station. After half an hour of consuming the food, most of the passengers including members of my family complained of stomachache and a great uneasy feeling. Most of us vomited and a few had to be taken off at the next station and admitted to a dispensary for first aid.
It is apparent that food cooked and packed by the staff on the railways is not strictly checked for quality. Utensils may not be washed and unhygienic and stale victuals may be cooked. This is grave negligence and defrauds on the public who use railway services.
Kindly order an enquiry into the matter and revamp catering services.
Yours Sincerely,
Paramjeet Badal
