Sir:

I am writing this letter to  appeal to people to pay meticulous heed to keep clean habits. The statistics issued by WHO confirm that the general health of the people is going downward. The number of unhealthy and diseased people in all the countries is increasing. India is no exception.

The causes behind this downfall in health can be ascribed to poor hygiene, increasing pollution level, adulteration of food, vegetables, fruits, fast pace of life, dependence on fast food, and general changing life style.

Well, maintaining vibrant health in the contemporary times is possible too. All types of diseases can be kept at bay by maintaining proper cleanliness of body and mind.

I hope you will give my ideas enough space in your esteemed daily.

Yours truly,

Anita

Respected Sir,
Sub: Importance of keeping clean habits

With reference to the above subject, I would like to contribute to the 'Citizen's Corner' column in your newspaper by apprising the public towards the importance of keeping clean habits. I hope you consider my article as it would be a motivation for the people of our country to keep themselves and their surroundings clean.
Our city has earned the title of 'Garden City' many years ago. But, do you think we really deserve it with all the filth and dirtiness all over in today's age? We the citizens of this city and country must truly wonder whether this is the image we want to present to tourists visiting us from different parts of the country and world. Although the 'Swacch Bharath' campaign is taking place, we are not able to keep our city tidy and clean even after so much of awareness being created. While we throw garbage on the round considering that a single piece of garbage doesn't matter, it actually does matter. Seeing the pile of garbage, other people start adding to it until it turns into a mess. Unknowingly, we make our city lose its beauty. Therefore, we must all remember our fundamental duty towards our country. We must ensure that we keep ourselves and our surroundings clean. Cleanliness starts at home! By controlling the garbage menace, half of our problem is solved. Open defacation, throwing garbage, dirtying the walls of monuments, misusing public property are some conditions we must bring in control. Every small bit matters, that can help us build a better Bangalore and better India! We must all join hands for this cause.
I hope you liked my small article for this section and I hope it brings a change in the society.

Thank You.

Yours Faithfully,
Arun.
