Dear uncle,
How are you? I am well. In your last letter you wanted to know my Global Village. I am going to tell you about tree plantation.
Tree plantation means planting tree in large number. Trees are very important to us in many ways. We cannot think of our existence without trees. Trees cover a great deal of our food deficiency by providing fruits and vitamins. They supply timber for various uses. Trees prevent soil erosion. Many kinds of medicines are prepared form leaves, roots and barks of trees. Above all, they help us to keep ecological balance supplying oxygen. Generally trees are planted in July and August. They can be planted in rood sides and in all educational institution. But our trees and forests are not sufficient in proportion to our total land area. To preserve our environment we should plant more and more trees. Government should encourage the people for plantation by various media.
No more today. Take care of yourself. With the best regard to your parents.

Dear Uncle Ted:
I hope you are doing great. I am writing this letter with a very heavy heart. I would like to inform you that the forest you planted twenty years ago is being cleared.
I know how strongly you feel about conservation. I have talked to the mayor and signed a petition asking residents to demonstrate against the destruction of the forest.
I truly believe that that forest should not be cleared to pave way for a mall. There is an amazing and thriving eco-system in the forest you planted all those years ago.
I grew up playing in that forest. I spent most of my childhood in the forest chasing wild hares and butterflies. I am willing to fight for this forest to the bitter end.
You always told me to stand for what I believe in. I am making my stand now. Will you stand with me? Help me save the forest.
Give my regards to auntie Rael, uncle John, Tiffany,Agatha,Noel and Robert.
Yours sincerely,
Lumiel
