Dear Kavitha, How are you? You must have started with your summer vacation. Our school closed on the 31st of March. What about yours? Hope your vacation has started and hope you are free.
I invite you to come to my house to spend your summer vacation. It’s been a real long time since we have met up. I’ve thought of many exciting things for the vacation. We can go swimming as we have a newly built swimming area in our compound. There is a theatre workshop starting from next Monday. Both of us can attend it. The workshop will run for ten days. On the last day, a drama will be staged by all the artists. I know your acting ability. The organisers will be happy to have a bundle of talents like you.
Please let me know as early as possible whether you can make it or not. Mom and Dad have sent their love to you. My regards to all at home…
Lots of love…
Divya
Hope it helps

Dear Shivam,
Thank you very much for your letter. This summer was a memorable one. In June, I went to a school camp. It was very interesting. There we were getting ready for the upcoming exams, went to the pool, a library, an exhibition hall, visited the archive, which stores old letters, newspapers, magazines, books on the Great Patriotic War.
July was the most memorable month. I spent it in Krasnodar with relatives. The weather was wonderful. All day long we swam in the Black Sea, sunbathed, examined the local attractions, visited the museum, cinema and a huge gift shop. The sea was so good I did not want to leave it.
August I spent at home. I finally managed to read the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s "Favorites". I also began to learn Spanish. This language is very beautiful. In the evening, I was walked with friends, together we are having fun.
Tell us more about your visit to Crete. What was the most unforgettable? What did you eat in the local restaurants?
I look forward to your next letter.
Yours affectionately,
Shivu
