Respected ma'am
As a resident of District Twelve, I was concerned about the education structure in the district and, thus, decided to write a letter to you about the same. As you know, education is a most basic part of one's life. The Right to Education is a fundamental right that should be given to everyone.
Our education system lacks a lot of aspects. I would like to suggest a few improvements, to boost level of teaching and schooling in our district.
- Poor study and education facilities are being given to children. There are hardly any extra-curricular activities, fun Math and Science labs, libraries filled with the books and the smell of parchment, interactive activities in the schools. These should be encouraged so that children engage and connect.
- It is important for teachers to become supportive and kind. They should be interactive and approachable and avoid caning children.
- Charities and book donation campaigns should be set for helping the development of education in schools.
- Schools should promote participation of parents in school activities so that children are motivated regarding studying.
- Last but not the least, it is important that we remember that there are many parents that, despite wanting their children educated, cannot afford to pay for their education. Therefore, the price of education should be decreased.
In our district, there are poverty-stricken people. Many of their children are illiterate and have not been given the chance to study and earn knowledge. I hope you take the appropriate measures and thank you for the same. Being educated means being self dependent, and I hope that our district becomes self dependent someday, too.
Yours faithfully,
Deedee
