Dear Father,

I haven’t received any letter from you for a long time. I think you must have been on your tours. I am pulling on well here. I face a healthy competition in the class.

You know I go to school on my bicycle. But it often gives me trouble on the way. At times, I fail to attend school because of it. It costs my studies. As it is very old, I feel it needs replacing. Kindly buy a new bicycle for me when you come over here. It will at least save me from unnecessary strain and help me reach school in time.
