Dear Sushant:
I hope this letter finds you in fine fettle. I am writing this letter to share with you how our school celebrated Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Independence Day. I have been feeling surge of pride and patriotism I have been feeling since the Golden Jubilee Independence Day Celebrations at school.
The entire school assembled at the ground. The principal hoisted the Tricolor. The national anthem echoed in the entire campus. After the anthem there was class-wise march past. Students marched in contingents to the beat of drum while the principal presided over it. After the march past, one act play highlighting the hanging of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev brought tears to everyone’s eyes. The group song ‘Ai Mere Vatan Ke Logo’ filled everyone with pure patriotism.
At the end, the Chairman gave a speech reminding the students and the teachers of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and made us take pledge that we will serve our motherland, India with heart, body, and soul to bring it glory and laurels with our dignified deeds. At the end the students were distributed sweets. I really had a great time! I have pledged that I will contribute to my nation in some way by becoming a great scientist. Do write back telling how you celebrated your Independence Day. Give warmest regards to uncle and aunt.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Ajay,
It has been a long time since I met you. I hope you are doing good. I have missed you a lot since last year when you moved to Mumbai. Though we had a big friend circle at school, it was with you that I spent the most time and was the most close. Do come and meet me in the holidays.
The purpose of me writing this letter is to tell you that we recently celebrated the golden jubilee of our country's independence in school last week. It was a grand event filled with patriotism. The chief guests were veteran armymen and Mr. Shankar, who actually participated in the freedom struggle. The event started with all the guests and our principal lighting the lamp. It was then followed by powerful and inspiring stories and speeches by all the guests. We then had the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the national anthem. We were all given sweets and flags to carry home. After the main event was over, a range of programs were organized by different classes. We had the girls of Class V sing patriotic songs. The high school students had prepared a skit based on the freedom struggle, which brought tears to everyone's eyes. We also had a speech and debate competition related to the occasion. I won the first prize in debate. It was really a proud moment receiving the prize from the chief guests. Later, we all stood together to form the image of India and a photo was taken from above. All in all, it was a wonderful event.
I had hope that you would visit the school during the celebration, as invitations were sent out to all former students. Anyways, you must have been busy in your school's celebrations. Do let me know how you celebrated this great day at your school. I hope your parents and sister are doing fine. Do write me a letter at the earliest, I will be waiting.
Your loving friend,
Rahul
