Dear Amina,
How are you? Hope you are safe and healthy. I was thinking about you the other day when I visited our hometown. I wanted to tell you that I also visited our school.
Do you remember how we used to go on our bicycles together to school? When I walked down that road, I remembered our talks and the fun we used to have while going to the school. Waking up early in the morning every day, meeting at our daily spot and cribbing about the school timing sounds so much fun now. When I went up to our school, I did not expect any of our teachers to be there, but I did meet our English teacher, Sharma sir. He is the principal now. He asked me about our classmates and how they are doing. Felt amazing to talk to him after so many years. He is an old man now!
I took a walk in our classroom as well. Although most of the school building is renovated, some spots like our garden, playground are still the same. I remembered how we used to play each and every game here with our friends. The sweet memory of those days came back to me because of this visit.
