am fine here and I trust you are doing good too. The Dasara celebration has been coming and we will observe Dasara in a significant way. Do u know the significance of Dasara? The festival of Dasara is the celebration proceeds for ten days and Dussehra is the tenth day.
Dassara is additionally called Vijayadashami and is praised as the triumph of Goddess Durga over the demon presence Mahisasura and the Dasara is celebrated on the tenth day and remaining nine days is called as Navaratri.
We always look forward to this event and I wish that we both get to spend this important event together.

My dear Ramesh,
How are you? Hope you are enjoying the best of health and happiness. I have just returned from my grandparent's place. I had Dushera holidays for 10 days so I had gone to Bhopal to meet my grandparents and spend some time with my cousins.
You know, Dushera is a festival in which the Goddess is worshipped for nine days. It is also known as Navratri celebration. Vijayadasami is celebrated on the tenth day. This is to celebrate the victory of good over evil. It is believed that Lord Rama killed the demon Ravana on this day. It is also celebrated to commemorate the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura.
My grandmother arranged for the puja in the house. My cousins and I used to get nice things to eat as prasadam. On the eighth day she gave all of us puri, chana and halwa which all of us enjoyed. All of us got new clothes as gifts from our grandparents.
On Dushera day we went to the park to see the burning of the effigy of Ravana. A lot of people had gathered there. We had a lot of fun there.
In this way 10 days got over very quickly and it was time for us to return. I boarded the train and came home to Jabalpur and my cousins went to their own destinations. How did you celebrate Dushera? Do write all about it.
Convey my love and regards to your parents.
With lots of love
