Dear Kavita,

Here we are at last. After a long train journey travelling through changing landscapes, changing weather, reading strange names of stations, eating snacks of varying tastes, sleeping and rising in that small cabin crammed with eight people, we finally reached Kanyakumari yesterday.

Though we slept late, here we are waiting to see the rising sun. There are many like us, hundreds who have come here to see the sun rise from Bay of Bengal and set in the Andaman Sea. Both sights are breathtaking I am told.

The East is all astir, the sight is very exciting. You must wait. Let me enjoy the sight. I will continue later.

My dear Kriti,

Hope you all are fine. Today I'm going to share with you the great times I'm spending here.

I, along with my family put up at the Hotel Rainbow in Puri. On the first day of our stay here, we spent the evening on the beach looking out at the roaring sea in front. Next day we went to visit the holy temple of Jagannath Dev which is one of the greatest pilgrimages of the Hindus. Sree Chaitanyadev spent his last days of his life here. One day we went on a conducted tour to visit the interesting places around Puri like Udaigiri and KhandaGiri, Konark and Bhubaneswar. The art and architecture of these places completely captured our minds. During our stay at Puri, we had a pleasant bath in the sea everyday. We also enjoyed the spectacular sight of sunrise and sunset there. The beauty of the deep and blue Bay of Bengal was really amazing. We are here for four days. The memory of this days will remain very vivid in my mind forever.
