Dear Friend,

My examination is over at last. You will be glad to know that I have done pretty well. I hope to figure in the merit list. Thank God that I have come out from the ordeal of books, notes and questions.

You know I was quite nervous about this examination. So I had to put in hard work. The papers were fairly easy. I had revised almost the whole course.

Your advice to prepare the entire syllabus has stood me in good stead. You have asked me what I would like to do now. I wish to join a Medical College after passing my HSLC  examination. I have a great desire to become a doctor. Our country needs a large number of well-qualified doctors. Doctors command respect in society. They help in mitigating the suffering of the sick.

I hope that you will like my choice. Do drop me a line or two in reply.

Dear Sanvi,

I hope you are well by the grace of the Almighty. I am well too. Please convey my regards to your parents. It’s been long since I received your last letter. So I have thought of writing this letter.

As you know, our HSC Examination will begin from 19th February and continue upto 20th March. After the examination, I will have ample time for travelling and sight-seeing. So, as soon as the examination is over, I have proposed to spend the holidays in my uncle’s house in Kolkata. There are various monuments and places to see in Kolkata such as Victoria Memorial, Vidyasagar Setu, Howrah Bridge, Botanical Garden, Birla Planetarium etc. I do hope you will accompany me. We will have great fun there. Kindly reply to this letter as soon as possible.
