Hope you are doing well. I am fine. I've just returned home after celebrating Bathukamma. It a colourful floral festival celebrated in Telangana during the latter half of the monsoon season celebrated by local women with exotic flowers.
The festival has become a symbol of Telangana culture and identity over the years. It began a week before the 'Saddula Bathukamma' (the Bathukamma festival's grand finale), which falls two days before Dassera. For one week, we made small 'Bathukammas' and immersed them in a nearby water pond. On the last day, the men of the house went into the wild plains and collected flowers such as 'gunuka' and 'tangedu,' and the entire household sat down to arrange them in stacks.
