“Please do not visit grandma and grandpa,” March 27 letter to the editor

Our son and daughter-in-law are lucky enough to still be working. So, what do they do with their children who are too young to stay at home by themselves? Enter Grandma and Grandpa.

Our grandchildren have literally not been out in public (except to ride in the car to our house) since March 12. I am shocked at how they are so aware of what is going on in our country. I find them washing their hands to the point where I have to tell them to take it easy on the antibacterial soap.

Yes, they go outside to scooter or throw the ball around twice a day when they're with us, but if a person walks by they move MORE than 6 feet away from them.

My advice to the previous writer: the next time you go grocery shopping, and I assume you have at one time or another in the last few weeks, don't buy or touch anything in a cardboard box. If the box was touched by ANYONE (let alone a grandchild) with coronavirus, the virus stays on it for up to 24 hours.
