Dear Latika,
I hope this letter finds you in soaring spirits and vibrant health. You must be very much excited about the youth festival next week. I am proud of you for having been selected not only as the MC for your school programme, but also for being selected to give a speech introducing your school’s programme. I know you must be feeling a little nervous also. It is for this very reason I am writing this letter.
You are a very responsible girl who shoulders her responsibilities thoroughly. However, I will advise you on one or two basic points. First, in the excitement of participating in the programme, don’t forget to prepare for your roles lackadaisically. Do remember you have to to rehearse your roles time and time again. Fortunately you have only speech and hosting. So you can practice by yourself. Don’t forget the principle of ‘Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance’.
